In a nutshell, the calorie shifting diet method focuses on eating patterns. It does not deal with what types of food should be eaten or be avoided. The result of a calorie shifting diet is what so many of us want – safe and healthy weight loss.
The approach of calorie shifting takes into consideration the many health risks that are commonly associated with excessive diets, and this is one of the reasons why it is becoming the preferred diet approach for a large number of health-conscious consumers looking for a healthy and safe way to lose weight. When using this method, one avoids the unhealthy rebound effect associated with most diet plans and fat loss programs, thus helping to maintain the desired weight loss.
As you probably already know, many of the diet programs, even the popular ones, may help you lose some weight fairly quickly. But that is only half the way. Actually, the real challenge of overweight people is no the attempt to lose fat fast, but to keep those pounds off. Some programs may urge you to reduce or completely abandon from your diet certain types of foods, such as proteins or carbs. The result of such an approach will probably be some weight loss, but this is only a short-term one. The metabolism of your body will eventually adapt to this new eating pattern, and will slow down in order to preserve the scarce energy. What it means in simple words is that your body goes into a survival mode, also known as a starvation diet mode. But be careful, this does not mean your body doesn’t want those foods that you are now avoiding. Once you go back to the old eating habits your body will probably store them as fat (to reserve them for the next starvation period). This is the rebound effect that hit most dieters, which results in a fast gain of fat.
So how does Calorie shifting work and why doesn’t the same affect happen as a result of using this method? Shifting the consumed foods on a regular basis causes the body’s metabolism to go off guard, or in other words, it is being tricked. Since the body does not become accustomed to any eating pattern, it stays in high-burning mode, and actually burns quickly and efficiently as much fat as it can get, while it doesn’t care if it comes in as proteins, carbs or even fat.

Nice post, dude.
Well, if those starvation diets do not work as you say, how come so many people are so slim when they go on those killer diets?
Are you saying that they simply can’t go it for too long, and will at some point fail? I know a few girls who are always on some diet, and they look great, i doesn’t fit, unless they are doing something I am not aware of.
