I am sure that a lot of people who are interested in losing weight have heard of metabolism. Probably they know that to lose weight they need to increase their body’s metabolism, in other words, make their body burn more energy, thus burning more calories and eventually losing weight. If you are not already familiar with metabolism and how it affects your body weight, take a few moments to read about it and learn the basic principles which control your body.
Well, here is the best part about eating and losing weight at the same time – some foods actually increase the metabolism! Whenever you eat, your metabolism increases just a little bit above normal in order to give the body the energy needed to digest the food.
This increase in metabolism is not always the same – it depends on the type of food consumed. It is known that complex carbs and proteins require more energy to break down and be digested. This extra energy means more calories that your body burns in the digestion process. Of course I do not advise you to eat only those types of food, your diet should be diverse and consist of all types of food, especially those that are rich with vitamins and minerals.
Now you probably ask, what are exactly those foods that increase metabolism? Well, some of those foods are coffee, green tea (which is a great antioxidant), spices and more.
I must conclude saying that for true permanent weight loss you need to have a healthy lifestyle that includes eating healthy, low-fat and nutritious rich foods, and of course regular exercise.
A good diet that makes sure your metabolism is always on a high rate is the calorie shifting diet. I strongly recommend giving it a try.
Good luck to all of us

Well, if you don’t know already what calorie shifting is and why it is probably the best way to lose weight and keep the fat away from you, then take a few minutes to read the articles on this website.
Now I want to introduce a diet plan based on the calorie shifting theory. The plan is based on a cycle of eleven days, where you get to pick your own menu each day using online menu generator that takes into account the kind of food you like to eat! Publications and people who have tried this program claim that those who follow the calorie shifting diet plan for eleven days will lose, on average, up to nine pounds, and this without starving themselves. Moreover, it is claimed that the lost fat can be kept off for a long period of time, and I am talking about many months here.
Why is it likely that this program actually works? It is because the calorie shifting theory is based on good and healthy nutritional habits. People who follow it are not getting bored eating only certain kinds of foods day after day, and actually they can eat so many different kinds of food that they don’t crave any food that was removed from the daily diet. As a result, they avoid the unhealthy rebound effect that accompanies most other conventional diets.

What happens when you do an aerobic activity?
When doing aerobic exercises, you are required to increase and maintain your heart rate at a certain level for at least 20 minutes (preferably more). This helps to improve oxygen usage in our body, and yields plenty other positive and healthy results, one of which is an improved fat loss results as part of the calorie shifting progress.
Aerobic exercises improve the cardiovascular function and the blood circulation. Moreover, doing aerobic exercises frequently will help to reduce the risk of getting heart diseases, high blood pressure and other modern diseases. And once the blood circulation system is working properly it also helps to reduce the risk of clogged artery, thus reducing the risk of getting a heart stroke.
What is the best aerobics?
One of the best aerobic exercises, and probably the most common one, is jogging. It is recommended to do it at least three times a week, for last at least 40 minutes each time.
Losing weight
Aerobic exercises yields many health benefits because of the improvement in the heart’s functionality. The question to be asked is how is it able to help in improving calorie shifting progress?
A healthy heart pumps the blood to every part of our body in an efficient way. This means that the heart sends the “dirty” blood to be detoxified more efficiently. As a result, the body contains less toxic materials which lead to higher metabolism rate! This means that the aerobic exercises are extremely important in maintaining a high metabolism rate, which is vital for weight loss.
To some up, a healthy lifestyle accompanied by a healthy diet and frequent exercises regime will lead to great weight and fat loss as well as a long term healthy life.

In a nutshell, the calorie shifting diet method focuses on eating patterns. It does not deal with what types of food should be eaten or be avoided. The result of a calorie shifting diet is what so many of us want – safe and healthy weight loss.
The approach of calorie shifting takes into consideration the many health risks that are commonly associated with excessive diets, and this is one of the reasons why it is becoming the preferred diet approach for a large number of health-conscious consumers looking for a healthy and safe way to lose weight. When using this method, one avoids the unhealthy rebound effect associated with most diet plans and fat loss programs, thus helping to maintain the desired weight loss.
As you probably already know, many of the diet programs, even the popular ones, may help you lose some weight fairly quickly. But that is only half the way. Actually, the real challenge of overweight people is no the attempt to lose fat fast, but to keep those pounds off. Some programs may urge you to reduce or completely abandon from your diet certain types of foods, such as proteins or carbs. The result of such an approach will probably be some weight loss, but this is only a short-term one. The metabolism of your body will eventually adapt to this new eating pattern, and will slow down in order to preserve the scarce energy. What it means in simple words is that your body goes into a survival mode, also known as a starvation diet mode. But be careful, this does not mean your body doesn’t want those foods that you are now avoiding. Once you go back to the old eating habits your body will probably store them as fat (to reserve them for the next starvation period). This is the rebound effect that hit most dieters, which results in a fast gain of fat.
So how does Calorie shifting work and why doesn’t the same affect happen as a result of using this method? Shifting the consumed foods on a regular basis causes the body’s metabolism to go off guard, or in other words, it is being tricked. Since the body does not become accustomed to any eating pattern, it stays in high-burning mode, and actually burns quickly and efficiently as much fat as it can get, while it doesn’t care if it comes in as proteins, carbs or even fat.
